A product of Standard Bank, Ms. Pokhrel has spent 23 years of valuable time in Standard Chartered Bank. Masters in economics, she has long experience of energy sector. She is currently holding the position of Chairperson of Sirjanshil Urja Company, Himshila Power Company, Director of Ruby Valley Hydro Company, Liberty Energy Company, Asha Laghu Bitta Bittiya Sanstha and Secretary of IPPAN (Independent Power Producers’ Association Nepal). Coming to the point of being a successful investor she has worked and gained enormous knowledge and skill working in various organizations in different capacities and positions.

A teacher of Padma Kanya Secondary School, Ms. Kabita Pokhrel hasn’t only taught to the students, she has given professional knowledge and skills to the higher-level staff of various business organizations through trainings & workshops. She has attended and participated in numerous training programs and workshops in and outside the country during her long career span. Ms. Pokhrel participated in the training programs such as “Comprehensive Banking Program” organized by Australia and New Zeeland Banking Group Limited (ANZ) Grit and “International Trade Skill Assessment Program” Organized by Standard Chartered Bank Limited. She has also made herself attended in so many banking, and power related trainings, workshops and summits organized by various companies & business organizations. She had not only organized herself a workshop “Women in Energy in Nepal” in joint collaboration with IPPAN & IFC, she has played the role of panelist in “Power Summit 2023”, “SAWIE Regional Conference” & “Gender Summit” organized by IFC and presented the paper in “Himalayan Hydro Expo”.

Ms. Pokhrel has visited various countries including India, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand, Schengen Countries, USA, UK, Indonesia, Japan and many more in connection to her business trip as well as personal visit.
